Original vintage glossy 4.75 x 3 candid photograph of the four daughters of Emperor Nicholas II—Grand Duchesses Olga, Tatiana, Maria, and Anastasia—affixed to a segment of a scrapbook page, annotated in pencil below in Cyrillic. The photograph was taken in Tobolsk, Siberia in 1917 by Pierre Gilliard, the Swiss tutor in French of the Imperial children, whose series of photos is quite famous. In fine condition. A very rare contemporary photo of the four duchesses after the deposition of the emperor.
