In full: "Therese, please copy all the lyrics—direct from tape (Trk. 16) 2 the song 'Brand New Boy' and messenger them 2 Margie Cox A.S.A.P. Thank u." In fine condition. From the collection of Prince's assistant Therese Stoulil and accompanied by a letter of provenance.
Prince recorded the unreleased 'Brand New Boy' at Paisley Park Studios on December 27, 1988. Margie Cox added her vocals on January 5, 1989, and the song was intended to be the second track on the Flash/MC Flash album. The project was ultimately abandoned.
