Two items: an original Hank Ketcham sketch of Dennis the Menace, accomplished in black ink on an off-white 5 x 6.25 sheet, signed below by Ketcham, who adds "xxx, Dennis," in red ink on behalf of the character; and a brief TLS, one page, 6.25 x 7, Dennis the Menace letterhead, May 29, 1957, addressed to Bob Whittemore: "I'm glad to be a part of your fine collection; thank you for inviting me." The sketch is matted and framed to an overall size of 9.75 x 11. In overall fine condition, with two horizontal folds to sketch, and some stains to the letter.
