American football player, coach, and college athletics administrator (1891-1980) remembered for his time at Texas A&M, the University of Nebraska, and the University of Texas; he was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame as a coach in 1951. Vintage glossy 8 x 9.75 photo of Bible as the head coach at Texas, signed and inscribed in fountain pen, "To: Joe Balmer, Jr., With every good wish—D. X. Bible.” In very good to fine condition, with slightly trimmed edges, scattered creasing, and a few small edge dings.
