Truman, measuring approximately 8 x 4 x 2.75, and weighing 4.55 lbs, with varying amounts of mortar to the sides. Includes a small plaque with a presidential seal, reading: "Original White House Material, Removed in 1950." In fine condition, with expected wear. Accompanied by the original cardboard shipping box and letter from the Commission on Renovation of the Executive Mansion, a 1951 letter from the original owner requesting “a brick, salvaged from the repair operations on the White House,” and newspaper clippings concerning the sale of White House souvenirs.
