ALS signed "J. W. Perry," one page both sides, 8 x 10, personal letterhead, June 26, 1946. Handwritten letter to Dr. Silberstein, in part: "I am most concerned to hear of Vega's passing, indeed I cannot quite realize it. She has remained to me, so live a person ever all these years—a real flower in my memory which never fades—an integral part of myself in fact, for she is inseparable from my mind. In the course of our recent removals I have come across her photograph and kept it out for a while as I wished to relive the pleasant experiences of bygone years."

In overall fine condition, with a diagonal crease to one corner of the photo and some light toning and staining to the papers.

From the collection of physicist Ludwik Siberstein.
