Kennedy was assassinated in Dallas, Texas, while riding in a presidential motorcade through Dealey Plaza. The report contains four news updates in the wake of JFK’s death, which are headed: “UPI-223, Correspondents: The arrival time of the Rusk plane at Andrews is now 12:24 A.M.”; “UPI-224, Add Johnson, Dallas,” which consists of a biography of the new American president, Lyndon B. Johnson; “UPI-225 (Johnson), Washington—President Johnson arrived at Andrews at 5:58 P.M. aboard the Air Force jet which also carried the body of John F. Kennedy”; and “UPI-226, Add 1, Johnson Washington (UPI-225), Johnson, in his first public statement as chief executive, promised the nation to ‘do my best’ in his new and grave responsibilities and asked divine guidance in the task.” In fine condition.
