Apollo lunar surface collection bag, approximately 15.5″ x 9″ x 6.5″, signed on the front in black felt tip, “Charlie Duke, Apollo 16.” This type of bag was attached directly to the Primary Life Support System (PLSS) backpack of an Apollo moonwalker, and was used to store individual samples after they were removed from the lunar surface and placed in individual bags. The bag features a total of five handles or loops, and the mounting bracket to reverse engraved as follows: “P/N M-10543-RM-004-03, TR-108.” In fine condition, with expected signs of use.
