Canadian writer and illustrator (1840-1924) best known for his series of books and comic strips featuring the Brownies. Original ink sketch by Palmer of one of his famous Brownie characters on an off-white 4 x 2 slip, signed in ink, "Palmer Cox, Brownieland, 1913." In fine condition, with a trivial small stain to the top edge.
