Description

ALS signed “Con,” one page both sides, 8.5 x 11, American Base Ball Club of Philadelphia letterhead, June 18, 1937. Handwritten letter to his friend Jack, in full: "Was pleased to hear from you. You can bet will say nothing about Donahue making you a proposition. Remember the boy very well, who wouldn't remember a kid like him. Would like to have the boy come down any time between July 27th and Aug 8th. We are home at that time playing the Western clubs. If that is too far away could come down this coming week. We will be here until July 2d. Will you come with him? My pitchers of late have done fine, very weak hitting, also many players injured which has hurt. Hope to do better later on. Am pleased to hear that you are all well. Give my best to Ruth and the kiddies. Hope to see you soon." In fine condition.
