Civil War-dated ALS signed “Geo. B. McClellan,” one page, 5.25 x 8, March 26, 1864. Letter written five months before his nomination as the Democratic Party's presidential candidate, in full: "Yours of the 23rd reached me only yesterday. I regret that my time is so much occupied that I can only acknowledge receipt of your note." In very good to fine condition, with a clipped Charles Magnus depiction of McClellan pasted over the salutation and some minor damage.
