Two items: a rare ALS signed "M. Begin," one page, 8.5 x 11, July 23, 1963, in full: "I gratefully acknowledge the receipt of your letter. You will, I hope, forgive me the delay in answering it, caused by my preoccupation with various public affairs. I signed, as you asked me, the envelopes and one of the stamps. I am glad you take interest in the history of our struggle and feel sympathy for our just cause"; and an oversized Israeli cover with affixed stamp block honoring 'Martyrs of the Struggle for Israel's Independence," signed at the bottom in blue felt tip, "M. Begin." In fine condition. This is the first autograph letter signed by Begin that we have ever offered.
