Vintage promotional booklet for the third Essence Jazztage festival, held at the Grugahalle in Essen on April 17, 1961, measuring 21 x 5.5 open, signed below his image in blue ballpoint, "Good luck, Thelonius Monk." The booklet is also signed by bassist John Ore and trumpeter Buck Clayton. In very good to fine condition, with light creasing and handling wear, and a slit to the left edge of Monk's panel.
