Letter to a gentleman, in part (translated): "It gives me great pleasure to inform you that I accept the contribution you have sent in. I will insert it gladly two or three times before May. We pay all correspondents at the rate of .91 centimes per line. Believe me when I say, sir, that I am most happy over this collaboration, that I appreciate it fully…P.S. I go tomorrow to the country. Send further letter to No. 10, Faubourg Montmartre. Copies of the journal will be forwarded to you."
