Two items: an Apollo 11 recovery cover with a stamped cachet honoring the US Navy Pacific Recovery Force, postmarked on the USS Hornet on July 24, 1969; and an official program for the Apollo 11 'Splashdown Party" held at the Shoreham Hotel in Washington, D.C., on September 9, 1969, 10 x 13, with inside featuring a menu and a list of speakers, and back cover postmarked July 20, 1969, the date of the Apollo 11 moon landing, and September 9, 1969, the issue date for the jumbo-sized commemorative "First Man on the Moon" stamp, which is affixed to the right. In overall fine condition, with some toning to the envelope.
