Highly unusual example of Dio's The Last in Line album, with the A-side of the record erroneously featuring a pressing of Prince's Purple Rain. Although the labels applied to both sides are for The Last in Line, the runout etching on the A-side reads, "(HXAD) W1-25110A G1D G," which is correct for the A-side of Purple Rain (featuring the tracks 'Let's Go Crazy,' 'Take Me With U,' 'The Beautiful Ones,' 'Computer Blue,' and 'Darling Nikki'). The matrix etching for the B-side is correct for The Last in Line, reading "W1-25100B-1B G." In very good to fine condition, with light scuffing and edge wear to album jacket, a small area of loss to the spine, splits to inner sleeve, and some scuffing to the vinyl (heavier to the B-side). Both published under the Warner Bros. record label, Purple Rain was released on June 25, 1984, and The Last in Line was released a week later on July 2nd: they were apparently being pressed in the same facility during the same timeframe, facilitating this rare error.
