Commemorative cover with a cachet honoring the first anniversary of the Friendship 7 flight, postmarked aboard the USS Randolph of February 20, 1962, signed in black felt tip by John Glenn. The cover is also signed by the captain of the recovery carrier. Removably corner-mounted to a color 8.5 x 11 presentation sheet. In fine condition, with light haloing around Glenn's signature. In February 1962, the USS Randolph was the primary recovery ship for the Friendship 7. After his historic three-orbit flight, he landed safely near the destroyer Noa from which he was transferred, by helicopter, to the Randolph.
