That was my energy; that was what it was all about.” The lifelong autograph collector, “didn’t need to ‘follow’ Aerosmith because really, they were local. They had some down time in the early 1980s after Joe (Perry left the band for awhile), and I got to see them in smaller venues. When Run DMC (covered “Walk This Way”), they had their comeback in 1986 and were big again.
