Attractive partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 15.5 x 19.5, August 31, 1893. President Cleveland appoints John H. Janeway as "Deputy Surgeon General with the rank of Lieutenant Colonel in the service of the United States." Neatly signed at the conclusion by President Cleveland and countersigned by Secretary of War Daniel S. Lamont. The dark blue seal affixed to the lower left remains intact. In fine condition.
