Bolden, Jr., Brian Duffy, Kathryn D. Sullivan, David C. Leestma, Michael Foale, and Dirk Frimout, with an unknown hand adding an inscription to the upper left: "To Charlie—Thanks for all your help!" The photo bears an affixed caption to the lower border, which reads: "This crew patch was flown aboard the Orbiter Atlantis STS-45, March 24-April 2, 1992, which carried the first Atmospheric Laboratory for Applications and Science (ATLAS-1)."
