Partly-printed vellum DS as president, signed “J. Q. Adams,” one page, 15.25 x 9.25, May 7, 1825. President Adams grants "Hutchings Burton Assignee of Malcolm Gilchrist" a parcel of land in Huntsville, Alabama, "containing Seventy nine acres and forty five hundredths of an acre." Signed at the conclusion by President Adams and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. The white paper seal remains affixed to lower left corner. In very good condition, with a small hole to the center and several heavy vertical folds.
