Fantastic pair of flown 1″ diameter sterling silver charms carried to the moon on the Command Module 'Casper' during Apollo 16 by Charlie Duke. The two charms are removably mounted on a 10 x 22 display featuring an image of a letter of provenance signed by Duke, dated February 19, 2000, in part: "It was with great pleasure that I carried your two sterling charms to the moon with me aboard the Command Module 'Casper.' This letter will serve as the authentication that the two charms as pictured in the accompanying photograph were taken to the moon. We lifted off from the Kennedy Space Center on April 16, 1972 and landed on the Moon on the Cayley Plains in the Descartes Highlands on April 20, 1972. We splashed down in the Pacific Ocean on April 27, 1972. When we returned to Houston, I returned the charms to you. Be a good caretaker."
