Woodrow Wilson

Partly-printed DS, one page, 15.5 x 19, March 16, 1917. President Wilson appoints George C. Hammet “a Second Lieutenant in the Marine Corps for a probationary period of two years.” Signed at the conclusion in black ink by Wilson and countersigned by Secretary of the Navy Josephus Daniels. In very good condition, with scattered light wrinkling and creasing, one crease through portion of signature, and Wilson’s signature and handwritten portions of document a shade or two light, but still completely legible. The seal is creased with paper loss along right side. Pre-certified John Reznikoff/PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
