The Lolita author thanks Playboy for an advance copy of a Yevtushenko interview mentioning him

TLS, one page, 8.25 x 11, November 29, 1972. Letter to Michael Laurence of Playboy Enterprises. In full: “I thank you for the advance reprint of the interview with Mr. Yevtushenko.” In fine condition, with central horizontal and vertical folds and a rusty paperclip mark to top edge. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope. Laurence’s interview with Russian poet Yevgeny Yevtushenko appeared in the December 1972 issue of Playboy magazine. In this interview, Yevtushenko said that he could ‘hear the clatter of surgical tools’ in Nabokov’s prose. Pre-certified PSA/DNA and RR Auction COA.
