ADS, signed “Caesar Rodney, Trustee,” one page, 9.5 x 2.75, September 16, 1777. Handwritten receipt for a mortgage payment, in part: "Rec'd of John Walton the sum of nineteen pounds, nine shillings and eight pence, principal, and the sum of eight pounds, six shillings & two pence halfpenny interest, in full—discharge of the within mortgage." Trimmed and affixed to a larger page, and in fine condition.
