Handwritten letter to a gentleman, in part: “In answer to Yours of 19th instant I am to….that of this present Brand of Admiralty I cannot ask anything. I do not conceive the application of an Officer for a pension on account of…can prevent his promotion: you must present this the Home Secretary of State a petition to the Prince Regent and ever believe me.” In very good to fine condition, with multiple intersecting folds, and a few trivial areas of paper loss to the edges.
