Former World Welterweight Champion professional boxer (born 1943) who is the nephew of boxing legend and former world champion Carmen Basilio. Partly-printed DS, signed “Harold W. Backus,” one page both sides, 5 x 3, September 30, 1976. A State Athletic Commission application card for a boxer license renewal, filled out in another hand and listing his ring name, “Billy Backus,” weight, “147,” and manager, “Anthony Braziano.” Signed at the conclusion in ballpoint by Backus. The reverse bears a stapled glossy photo of Backus. In fine condition, with a central vertical fold.
