Vintage British European Airlines (BEA) in-flight booklet, 9 x 6.5, signed on the front cover by the Beatles in black ballpoint: John Lennon, George Harrison, Paul McCartney, and Ringo Starr. The consignor notes that the signatures date to early February 1964, and were likely signed on February 5th, when the band was returning to London via a BEA flight after their historic three-day concert showcase in Paris, France. In fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks, a letter of authenticity from noted Beatles expert Frank Caiazzo, who also dates the autographs to “early 1964,” and two modern glossy photos of the Beatles disembarking the airplane at London Airport.
The Beatles' concerts in Paris in January 1964 were a significant milestone in the band's career, as they marked their first performances in France and helped to launch them to international stardom. The Beatles played a total of 18 shows over three days at the Olympia Theater in Paris, from January 16th to 18th, 1964. The band's arrival in Paris was met with a frenzy of excitement from French fans, who crowded the airport to greet them and followed them everywhere they went. The Beatles' concerts at the Olympia were sold out, and the crowds outside the theater were so large that the police had to be called in to control them. During their shows, The Beatles performed many of their early hits, including ‘She Loves You,’ ‘I Want to Hold Your Hand,’ and ‘Twist and Shout.’
