Johnny Ramone’s enormous red, white, and blue 50.5 x 33 poster for a pair of Ramones concerts held at Spain's Valencia Auditorium on February 9 and 10, 1989, designed to resemble that of an American flag, signed nicely in black felt tip by Johnny, Marky, Dee Dee, and Joey Ramone, who adds "89." Includes an ALS signed “Johnny,” one page, 6 x 9, sent to his friend, artist Andy Gore (Andrew Armstrong): “Enclosed is a poster from a show in Valencia, Spain, that we did 2 weeks ago on our Spain tour. I had the band sign it. If you [you] want any of those film posters I mentioned in the letter let me know, you can have any one that you’d like.” In overall fine condition, with expected folds to the poster. Accompanied by the original mailing envelope addressed by Johnny Ramone, who has incorporated his given name signature, “John Cummings,” in the return address field of the envelope, which is postmarked February 23, 1989.
Gore recalls that Johnny Ramone liked the poster’s bold graphics and the large size of the band’s name. This was one of the last Ramones posters signed by Dee Dee Ramone, who quit the band in late 1989.
