Partly-printed vellum DS as president, one page, 13 x 8.25, July 15, 1823. President Monroe grants John M. Colman of Vigo County, Indiana, a parcel of land containing 80 acres to be sold at "Vincennes by the Act of Congress, entitled 'An Act providing for the sale of the Lands of the United States, in the Territory north west of Ohio, and above the mouth of Kentucky River.'" Signed at the conclusion by President James Monroe and countersigned by Commissioner of the General Land Office George Graham. The white paper seal affixed to the lower left remains partially intact. In very good to fine condition, with light toning and staining, and some small holes along the intersecting folds.
