Two small metal fragments attested to as being removed from a gantry at Cape Canaveral Launch Complex 26, the launch site for Explorer 1, the United States' first satellite, in 1958. The fragments measure .5″ x .25″ and .75″ x .25″ and are individually affixed to certificates of authenticity, one of which is authenticated by William Dickerson and the other deriving from the Air Force Space & Missile Museum. In overall fine condition.
