Fantastic 1:50 scale model replica of the Apollo 13 Command Module Odyssey and Lunar Module Aquarius by The Danbury Mint. This intricately crafted and hand-painted replica separates into four individual components and, when docked altogether, approximately measures 5.75 x 13 x 16; when displayed on the 12.75 x 5.75 wooden base, the model reaches an impressive 13.75″ in height. The base is signed in silver ink, “Fred Haise, Apollo 13 LMP, April 11-17, 1970,” who adds a sequence of events and quotes related to the service module accident: “Cryogenic oxygen tank 2 explosion—‘Houston, we’ve had a problem here!’ / Main B-Bus undervolt—loss of power and oxygen / Use Aquarius Lunar Module as a ‘Lifeboat’ / Mid course corrections and LIOH canister repairs—safe return!” In fine condition. Accompanied by the original box, which features some wear and tear, and a certificate from The Danbury Mint.
