Souvenir typescript of the introductory ‘Original Seven’ NASA press conference from 1959, one page, 8.5 x 11, signed in black felt tip and ballpoint by Alan Shepard, Wally Schirra, John Glenn, Gordon Cooper, Scott Carpenter, and Deke Slayton. An interesting typescript containing each of the astronauts' responses to the question "What is your motivation?” In fine condition, with some haloing to signatures. An unusual format lending insight into each of the astronauts' thought processes as they prepared to attempt manned spaceflight for the first time.
