Color first edition of the Apollo 8 Lunar Orbit Chart, 41 x 12, dated December 4, 1968, signed at center in black felt tip, "James Lovell, Apollo 8." The chart displays areas in darkness and earthshine, lunar sunset and sunrise terminator lines for the 1st and 10th revolutions, and a wide assortment of lunar landmarks and regions. Titled in the lower right corner, "Apollo Lunar Orbit Chart (ALO), Apollo Mission 8, 1st and 10th Revolutions, 26 December 1968 Launch Date." Lithographed by ACIC 12-68, and prepared under the direction of the Department of Defense by the Aeronautical Chart and Information Center. In fine condition, with a few scattered creases and vertical folds.
