Maintaining strict neutrality, he advanced several peace proposals and did much to aid war victims. ANS in Italian, signed “Benedictus PP XV,” one page, 7.25 x 3, July 17, 1921. Handwritten indulgence by Pope Benedict XV, with manuscript translation below, in part: "We grant the hundred days indulgence to the Faithful who shall recite the 'Gloria Patri.'" In very good to fine condition, with staining, light creasing, and minor surface loss.
