Attractive etching by artist Joseph C. Claghorn entitled ‘From the South Portico of the White House,’ which shows a view overlooking the south lawn and the nearby Washington Monument, signed below in fountain pen by Herbert Hoover. The etching is also signed by the artist, “J. C. Claghorn,” and is tape-affixed to a 10.25 x 14 cardstock mount. In very good to fine condition, with fading to the signature, toning from prior display, and tape to the upper corners.
