(Walt Disney Studios, 1937) Original production cel of Dopey, Bashful, and Sleepy from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, showing the three dwarfs with a diamond mine cart and a length of rope, peering out at some gems and diamonds, which have been hand-painted onto a special effects overlay cel. The dwarfs cel has been trimmed to image and applied to an airbrushed background as prepared by Courvoisier Galleries for sale; reverse bears an affixed Walt Disney Enterprises copyright label from 1937 affirming this as an “Original Work from Snow White and The Seven Dwarfs.” The full image measures 7.25 x 3.5, with overall dimensions of 8.5 x 5.5. In very good to fine condition, with rippling to edges of overlay, and some light wear to left-side of Dopey.
