Description

Super rare A Saucerful of Secrets album signed by Pink Floyd in 1969

Rare early pressing of A Saucerful of Secrets, the second studio album by Pink Floyd, which is signed on the back cover in black felt tip by Roger Waters, Richard Wright, David Gilmour, and Nick Mason, who adds “Pink Floyd” in his trademark bubble letters. In fine condition, with very poor contrast to Wright's signature. The record is included.

Accompanied by a letter of authenticity from Floyd Authentic and by a letter of provenance from the original recipient, who writes: “On March 27th, 1969, the Pink Floyd were booked to play in Chesterfield at St. James Hall for the Chesterfield Technical College summer ball. The gig was organized by Mr. David McPhie…As a good friend of David, I was one of the first to know the gig had been booked and I got my ticket…I arrived at the gig early with friends to ensure a good spot to watch the bands and during the Shape of the Rain set, got into conversation with Nick Mason, who had come from backstage to watch them. He was in a good mood and readily agreed to take me backstage to get the full band autographs on my…Saucerful of Secrets album cover…Meeting the band, they were happy to chat and autograph my item.”
