Handsomely engraved stock certificate for 10 shares in the American Express Company, issued to Augustus C. Downing. Signed at the conclusion by Henry Wells as president, William Fargo as secretary, and Alex Holland as treasurer. Matted and framed to an overall size of 15.5 x 11.5. In fine condition, with scratching and wear only to the wood frame.
