Al Worden’s collection of 50 photos related to the Apollo 15 moon-landing mission. The collection includes two vintage official red-numbered glossy NASA photos (S-71-34286 and S-71-39484), an official NASA white space suit lithograph of Worden, two glossy prints of the Apollo 15 ‘crescent Earthrise,' and a total of 45 color semi-glossy photos, 8 x 10 and 10 x 8, the reverse of each bearing “This Paper Manufactured by Kodak” watermarks. The latter group of photographs contains a variety of images from the mission, such as the Saturn V rocket, splashdown and recovery, the crew during lunar EVAs, and over 30 images of the moon, which were originally taken by Worden while in lunar orbit inside the Command Module Endeavour. The backs of the two red-numbered photos contain purple NASA caption text and “A Kodak Paper” watermarks. In overall fine condition.
From the collection of Apollo 15 CMP Al Worden, and accompanied by a letter of provenance from his daughter Alison (Worden) Penczak.
