Brilliant glossy 10 x 8 Shelter Records / ABC Records promotional photograph of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, signed by the entire band in black felt tip: Tom Petty, Stan Lynch, Mike Campbell, Ron Blair, and Benmont Tench. In fine condition. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from REAL. This promotional photograph was issued in early 1977, shortly after the band released their debut album, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, which garnered such hits as ‘Breakdown’ and ‘American Girl.’ The photo was signed around the time of its release. Worth noting is that the band would leave Shelter Records following the release of their second studio album in 1978. The photo depicts Tom holding his famous Gibson Flying V guitar, after which the original Heartbreaker’s logo was based. An incredibly early and iconic image of the legendary band signed at the onset of their storied career.
