Description

Stunning 1967 vintage glossy 5.75 x 8 promotional photograph of the Bee Gees, signed by the full original lineup: Robin Gibb, Barry Gibb, Maurice Gibb, Vince Melouney, and Colin Petersen. All band members have signed in blue fountain pen with the exception of Barry, who has signed in black felt tip. In fine condition, with a crease to the upper right corner. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Tracks.

All five musicians performed on Bee Gees' 1st, which was the group's debut album on the UK Polydor label and the U.S. Atco label. This was the third studio album by the Bee Gees and their first international full-length recording after two albums distributed only in Australia and New Zealand. The album, released in the UK on July 14, 1967, and in the U.S. on August 9, 1967, quickly entered the charts on both sides of the Atlantic, garnering hits such as ‘Holiday,’ ‘New York Mining Disaster 1941,’ ‘To Love Somebody,’ and ‘I Can’t See Nobody.’ Lead guitarist Vince Melouney would only be with the Bee Gees from 1967-68, while drummer Colin Petersen was with the band from 1967-69. As such, signed promotional photographs of the original five-man Bee Gees lineup are exceedingly scarce. To date, this is the finest example we have encountered with this original lineup.
