Uncommon report entitled "Hydraulic Power System for the X-15, NAA Model NA-240, Contract AF33(600)-31693, Class-Research Aircraft, Report No. NA58-1339," in its original North American Aviation, Inc. portfolio, 20 pages, 9 x 11.25, dated November 21, 1958. The report presents information of a design nature concerning the requirements of the X-15 airframe's hydraulic power system, and features a number of fold-out schematics, diagrams, charts, and tables. Laid in are original copies of a 14-page process specification document for the filling and servicing of the X-15 hydraulic system (rev. date September 29, 1961), and a four-page "trip report" memorandum regarding the construction and operation of the X-15 main hydraulic pump (July 3, 1963). In very good to fine condition, with staining to the title label on the front of the portfolio. A desirable, early X-15 report that pre-dates the rocket plane's first flight in June 1959.
