Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “George R,” one page, 15.75 x 11.75, June 16, 1808. King George III appoints Archibald McNeill "to be Captain to that company…in our Ninth Royal Veteran Battalion commanded by Our Trusty & Welbeloved Major General Colin Mackenzie." Signed in the upper left corner in ink by King George III. In very good to fine condition, with scattered irregular toning, some smudging to the signature, and the section with the seals once excised and restored with tape on the reverse.
