Limited edition Astronaut Knife M-1 Model 1966 manufactured by W. R. Case and Sons. The machete-style knife measures 16.5″ in length and is numbered as "S/N-2227" on the stainless steel blade, which features one straight edge and one serrated edge. The knife also boasts a special white polypropylene handle, and is housed in its original 8.5″ x 20.75″ shadowbox display case, complete with informational plaque and space-age background. In very good to fine condition, with wear and scratches to the display case; the knife itself is fine. This is the same type of knife which was part of the survival package carried on Gemini 3's 'Molly Brown' by John Young and Gus Grissom.
