Kevin Youkilis’s game-used personalized Louisville Slugger M9 Genuine T141 baseball bat that he used as a member of the Boston Red Sox during the 2008 season. The end of the knob is marked with Youkilis’s Red Sox uniform number, “20.” In very good to fine condition, with obvious expected signs of use, such as ball and cleat marks, and stitch impressions. Accompanied by a full letter of authenticity from PSA/DNA, which grades the bat as “PSA/DNA GU 10” and concludes that “the bat is authentic, and was game used by Youkilis during the referenced labeling period.”
Youk had the best season of his professional career in 2008 and was a runner-up for the American League MVP, placing third behind Minnesota’s Justin Morneau and his own Red Sox teammate, Dustin Pedroia. As the second man in Boston’s loaded batting lineup, Youkilis was productive across the board, hitting for a .312 average with 168 hits, 43 doubles, and a team-leading 29 home runs and 115 RBIs.
