ALS, one page, 8.5 x 11, July 11, 1991. Handwritten letter addressed from Dar es Salaam, Tanzania, sent to Marilyn J. Davis, in part: “I have been traveling, non-stop, for months. Certainly all this year—USA (x 3), UK (x many), Canada, Zaire (x 2), Congo (x 2), Burundi (x 3), Angola, Switzerland!!! Just in 6 months!! Anyway, it’s all to help the chimps, help in conservation efforts, spread awareness…Do you know about JGI?…One thing you could do is introduce ‘My Life with the Chimpanzees’ into your school…Also children are very good at ideas for raising bits of money. We need funds—we need children to be involved…We are just developing an exciting new children’s programme, ‘Roots & Shoots’—you’ll see why on other side of paper!…Must stop here total of about 219 letters to answer!
