John Baker Omohundro (1846-1880) was an American frontier scout, actor, and cowboy who became a legendary figure in the American Old West as a Western showman performing dramas on the stage throughout the country, and was immortalized in dime novels published around the world. Scarce ink signature, “J. B. Omohundro, Texas Jack, April 13th 1878,” on an off-white 3 x 1.75 sheet. Double-matted and framed with an oval portrait to an overall size of 14.75 x 19.25. In fine condition.
