Partly-printed vellum DS, signed “Sandwich,” one page, 12.75 x 10.75, November 10, 1780. Naval commission issued by the "Commissioners for Executing the Office of Lord High Admiral of Great Britain and Ireland," which appoints William Truscott as "Captain of His Majesty's Ship the Preston." Signed at the conclusion by Sandwich and three other officials. Framed and in fine condition, with window to frame backing showing reverse of document.
