Letter to noted literary agent Toni Strassman, in full: "It has been some months since Mr. Gerald Moulson delivered the material for my book—A CENTURY OF CHANEYS—into your most capable hands. Inasmuch as I realize that you are a very busy person, I have hesitated to write you prior to this time, but since this is my first attempted venture into a world of whose inner workings I am totally ignorant, I hope you will forgive me.
I'm sure if I were a seasoned author there would be no need for me to write this—but since I am not, I do feel a bit curious as to the utter silence. Believe me, I am not criticizing you—I wouldn't dream of it. In the field of acting, I am at home; however, in the world of books I must depend completely upon your extensive knowledge.
Is there something that I have failed to do? Is the submitted material inadequate for your purpose? Let me know, and I will follow your suggestions for correction. I have received a great deal of fan mail in the past few months, asking when to expect the publication of the book. As you may know, it was discussed on the Johnny Carson Show this past spring, and has been mentioned in several recent news articles and magazines.
